- Work cooperatively with principals and district staff to select personnel for instructional assignments.
- Assist in the development and coordination of a District level CTE Advisory Board as well as applicable program advisory committees.
- Assist the Human Resources Department in maintaining an accurate FTE measurement of CTE teachers from across the District.
- Coordinate departmental activities with other district offices and administrators; provide assistance to departments requesting and utilizing services provided; and represent the department as may be required in meetings and other outside activities.
- Prepare annual operating budget recommendations for federal and local funding sources; implement and monitor assigned budgets.
- Assist in the development of programs of study and their alignment to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and the existing instructional curriculum; coordinate the writing of curriculum for CTE programs.
- Align academic subject matter so that it is taught with relevance to the real world and complete yearly evaluation and fall evaluation as appropriate.
- Assist in development, deployment, and integration of innovative programs and virtual learning for all teachers and students.
- Create/provide/support staff development for administrators, counselors and teachers.
- Implement and comply with policies established by federal and State law, State Board of Education rules, and local Board Policy in the area of instructional technology.
Responsibilities include:

- Train students participating in an internship program via protocols in social media, CPR, resume building, confidentiality, and soft skills.
- Coordinate with school administrators, faculty, and staff at each high school to ensure that students are successfully participating in the internship program.
- Facilitate time sheet collection/accuracy to ensure interns are successfully participating in internship.
- Maintain accurate data, records, and files to track activities, accomplishments, participation, progress, and status of individual students.
- Assist students in job placement activities.
- Set up and monitor student mock interiews
- Assist in promoting, organizing, and managing CTSOs.
- Maintain by-laws, constitutions, and forms for CTSOs district wide.
- Coordinate CTSO travel for activities and events.
- Assist in scheduling and securing travel for CTSOs.
- Maintain a calendar of CTSO events and fundraisers.
- Coordinate leadership activites and commmunity service projects for CTSOs.

- Communicate CTSO achievements to the communication department.
- Coordinate with various district personnel to ensure CTE students are properly coded.
- Monitor and evaluate the coding process to ensure accuracy.
- Facilitate communication between the campus and district level to ensure accuracy.
- Provide pathway based training to ensure proper placement of students in coherent sequences.
- Organize and facilitate PD workshops for CTE staff.
- Design and participate in PD opportunities as suggested by the CTE Director.
